First off, I didn't know where to post this.

Alright so I've been battling with this oil leak since I've got the car. First it was the ofl, (Fixed that) and just a few weeks ago I replaced my cracked valve cover and valve cover gasket so that fixed a big portion of the leak. Now I still have a leak and have been using uv dye to see where its leaking at. The whole front right of the block and front of the front cover were wet and glowing. and I know my leak starts up around the right exhaust manifold stud just above the motor mount bracket. Yesterday I backed out the top right bolt on the motor mount bracket just above the water pipe and oil shot out when I loosened it. Is it possible for oil to even leak out of there and what can I do to fix it? Jack up the motor and take off the side motor mount loosen all the bolts on the bracket and cover the bolt with thread sealant and put it back in?

again sorry If this is the wrong place to post, just nobody else has had it leaking from the same spot and had a post about it

If its leaking under the timing cover it could be cam seal, crank seal or balance shaft seal. If there's oil in your exhaust manifold it's most likely valve stem seals. There really shouldn't be any oil coming out of bolts near mani. It's sounds like you had a pretty bad oil leak and oil just got stuck in a lot of places. I would clean engine bay really good first then run car for a week or so and check for leaks again. This usually helps track down the true source of the leak.

I've already sprayed down the whole cam gear side of the motor with brake parts cleaner and poured uv dye in. Since the other day when the oil spilled out of that bolt and I tightened it as hard as I could, it doesn't look like any "new" oil spots have appeared and what is already on the block has stayed dry. Also its not leaking on the cam gear side of the block its only at the front

I just sprayed out the factory pcv with brake parts cleaner to clean it out. I did have a bad leak, valve cover was cracked pretty bad in between the cam gears and leaked down the side of the head and made its way onto the water pump and leaked down onto my oil filter housing, sub frames and underneath the right corner manifold stud, but I fixed a couple weeks ago

i have the exact same issue with my car did u find out any more info on what caused it and or/fixing solutions?

everything that I did was, tighten down all the bolts and put rtv on the bolts and put them back in(the bolts on the front motor mount going into the block. Changed my valve cover and valve cover gasket and that stopped the major leak. I replaced my oil filter housing gasket, ported my oil filter housing and cleaned the whole oil filter housing and wrapped every bolt with teflon tape and its been dry everywhere, easiest thing to do is get a black light and go to pep boys and buy a bottle of uv dye its like $6.00 and helps out alot

the last major leak I had was oil leaking out of the big bolt on the oil filter housing(it controls the flow of oil to the oil cooler)

new update took off my exhaust manifod and ended up seeing oil coming down a few valve stems causing my oil leaking coming from my manifold gasket.I just had my hole head rebuilt valves, guides, seals, lifters and cams.. anyone think it could be posiblley be a few bad seals they are vitten seals.any ideas thanks!!
