help finding where these wires go on my HKS turbo timer type 1

alright so since all my instructions are in japaneze i have no clue how to install this i know you clip it into the ignition plug (i think) but where is it located and what are all these red, green and white wires for on the harness and on the timer the grey brown and blue and black (im guessing black is for ground) wires for?

OK to two pinouts do go into your ignition cables. You have to take off the steering column,and you will see them. The red, green, and white wires of the harness are optional and do not need to be pluged in. Now you must you the brown, blue, and black in order to FULLY function the turbo timer. These wires are for your e-brake, RPM speed sensor, and speed sensor. I have the instructions at home in english, so when I get home I will post which wires go where, I can not remember off the top of my head.

Don't worry install is a breeze since you have the harness. Hope this helps, Stay boostin

ha ha ah thats wicked! ya id love for you to grab that info for me id love to use the full fuctions of the rpm and other features well i gotta goto work right now but ill rip apart the botom of my stering colum and see if i can find a plug like this ohh ya also where did ya stick your timer? the wires arnt too long to be putting too far

I put it right under the steering column until I buy my new radio, it blew on me last week. I plan to put it under my radio, once I buy a new one; so I can wire everything up perfectly. I get out off classes at nine today, so I should post up the instructions around 10 at night.

From the tt, gray wire goes to wire coming from handbrake switch, black goes to chassis ground, and blue goes to vehicle speed sensor( http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ecu-harness-1G.html ) The brown wire goes to vehicle rpm wire. The wires coming from the harness are accessory wires to power other things/gauges.

ohh crap boys looking at the harness page it looks like this one is different to the one in the page this has 6 pins while it looks like the page says theres 10 pins am i missing something here?

here what my harness looks like the only thing i can think of is if they messed up on the harness but how could they do that I bought it from a freakin DSM store online!!! GEEERRRR

Just take apart the steering column look for the iginition cables, if they do not match up to your harness then they might have sent you the wrong one.

hello again everyone i took the under dash out and couldent find anything like this...is it actually in the sterring colum part? where abouts is this?

hmmm cool ok so i took the 3 screws out but it seems like it stiull doesnt wanna come off is there a specail way of doing this?

Not sure if you got this figured out but I was having the same problem... The plug for the ignition harness is pushed up really far into the dash. Just follow the wires from the ignition up thru the dash until you find the 6 pin connecter that is blue and black.

Does anyone know where i can find the color coding to the wires on the ECU..
Cause no matter how many ecu diagrams i see they all seem to say something different.
I have everything installed in my 2g and have the blue wire from the TT going to the Orange w/ dot (supposedly the 8th one in from the right on the bottom) and the Brown wiree from the unit with the blue wire w/white dot (the 4th one in form the right)

When i started it up, the timer works fine.. Shuts off yada yada.. But the RPM's are off and it won't "learn" the rpm when i set it.

I have those exact same directions. I also have the ECU diagrams that they include. But They are not accurate. I've compared them with much better diagrams of the ECU and what wire is for what. The HKS diagrams are off, they don't have the same # of wires. The better diagram i have doens't make any mention of a speedo wire. But i just want to find someone who knows so i don't go splicing every wire.. Just trying to save time.. It's cold outstide!
