HELP!!!!!!!!!!!Cold Start Issue!

Guys--

When I start my car cold, I have to crank the engine for a few secs (about 10) before she starts. If I turn the key to the on position first, wait a min and start (priming fuel pump), she fires right up! What is the deal with this?

Fuel Filter replaced already...

that's how it's supposed to work...
Priming the fuel pump is always a good idea, saved wear and tear on your starter.

My other cars never had this problem! I just got this car (daily driver), and find it weird that I have to sit there for a min before starting a car! I wonder if the FPR is bad??

Anyone else?

Unless you guys have something done to your cars, the fuel pump doesn't run or "prime" until the engine is turned over, unless its a 420A. Turning the key to the on position does nothing. What year car do you have and what engine?

FPR is disabled when starting.

I figured out what the problem is. I know that this is a common problem on the 1g's and 2g's.. The problem is the O-ring on the fuel pump. If you replace this, most of the cold starting issues you have will stop. The faulty o-ring bleeds the lines off, away from the injectors.
