Help, Car sounds like a subaru!

I did a 6 bolt swap in my 2g not too long ago. It ran fine for a few weeks.

Now, once the car fully warms up; it will randomly start sounding like a Subaru and it has hardly no power and studders, but it does build boost. As soon as this starts happening, I can quickly shut the car off and turn it back on and continue driving the car normally for a few more minutes or even hour until it comes back. Any ideas?

My car is doing the exact same thing, so Im subscribing to this. I'm also 6bolt swapped. Its not related to knock, because with mine it has this problem when not under any boost.

My guess for mine is that my spark plug wires are sparking off some things under my hood, since I used a 2g coil pack and shoved it into the 1g manifold. Once I relocate it this weekend, I'll know for sure.

Check that your MAF connections are secure.

Alright I know the problem.

ECU will start to look for misfires:
· 300+ seconds of steady state RPM less than 80% throttle position
· Engine coolant temperature -10C or higher
· Intake air temperature -10C or higher
· Barometric pressure greater than 76 kPa

I ran dsmlink and opened up DTC than DISABLED the "random missfire" code. Here are the other solutions to fixing it though.

Solutions:
-Logger and clear code everytime.
-Get a black cas.
-Or do the pot mod. (http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/tech/1gina2g.pdf , last page).

And I do infact have the black top cas and I still got the random misfire. DSMLINK FTW

Oh, it indeed does affect driveability. The car will randomly start misfiring badly
