HELP cant rev past 4k[FIXED]

OK its a 95gst i dont know what it has done to it. all i can saee that is obvious is a BBK throttle body, bov which vents to atmosphere. We start it up and it runs fine but when you rev it with no load it will rev past 4k, but when we put it on our dyno to get a baseline before we started putting the new turbo and stuff, it wont rev past 4k...it kinds studders and bucks... any ideas

check your ignition and spark plug wires. bad wires tend to buckle studder under load..

Plugs and wires or a bad boost leak come to mind without any more information on mods. I'd start there, those are easy.

dont know if it will help but when my turbo blew on my first gen i couldnt rev past about 3700-3800 rpms never tried it without load though just a thought probably isnt it though. and about boost leak just search it you can make one easy i made mine out or a pcp end cap, tire valve, a couple of hose calamps and a piece off a old intake to attach it and some hot glue from glue gun to seal tire valve

Do you have any CEL's? It sort of sounds like the MAS is malfunctioning or not connected to the harness correctly. Mine did the same thing when I put on my intake a few years ago.

Just a thanks for the "resolution" post. I wish everyone would post when their problem is solved. Helps everyone in the long run.
