So I drove my talon from Wisconsin all the way to Fort Myers Florida just fine. then all of a sudden my idle went up to 1500, then 2000, 2200, 2600, now im at 2900-3000 RPM. My AFR's are staying in the 14.2-15.2 range at this idle. With the idle so high, it causing a reverse gear grinding and this is a brand new trans pretty much.

Have already checked all the VAC sourses, and attempted a BLT. I see the injector seals are cracked, but again no leaks from them.

In the morning on the cold start, the ALT belt will squeel like crazy, and the RPM will be at 1800 and idle smooth like that, but after 30 seconds of belt squeeling, it will go away like aways, and the IDLE will right away jump to almost 3k steady.

not sure if my CAS would be the problem. I have no CEL, but my link is saying I have a CAS malfunction. I erase the code and try to update, and get no code,

My PTU i noticed today, had some liquid on the pins and also the outside of the case where the pigtail connects. The pigtail is broken up really bad, and Im having to use a ZIP TIE to make sure the connection is solid. I know that if you mess with the pigtail, the car will idle back down to about 1000 GREAT, but its like in LIMP MODE. The throttle is like non compliant, and it sounds like a subraru and get poping out my exhaust.

Yeah I dont think I was doing it right LOL. And I'm not sure a boost leak will cause my issue. Am I correct? I mean I'm on speed density so really I can remove all my piping except the small pipe with my IAT sensor and it will run the same!!!

Also with car running, you can unplug the TPS and the car don't react to it. It stays high idle and don't change.

The ISC holds the idle below 1500 when working. Your ISC probably died. When they fail, the idle will be very high, like yours. Just had the same thing happen to me. Swapped the ISC out and it was good to go.

This part is connected to the Throttle body..

you may need a new sensor or you may be able to rebuild it..

here is a link for new ISC that I found doing a quick search..

DSMISC Automotive (New ISC Supplier)

What I did when I had idle issues, BLT, then replace entire throttle body with new sensors... problem solved...

Under the TB Elbow, towards the firewall. It has a big plug going into it. It is an assembly help on by 2 x 8mm bolts. You might try cleaning yours with carb cleaner and seeing if it helps before buying another one.
