Hey, i'm trying to fix this car. Its a 96 Talon TSi. Initially we installed a downpipe, full exhaust, intake, BOV, boost controller w/gauge, high capacity fuel pump, and a turbo timer. The car ran fairly well after the modifications were installed, but soon after that it just ran like crap. We talked to a mechanic about it and he said that the 96 had an ECU that couldnt be altered, flashed or piggy backed, and with and the fact that we installed all these parts was confusing the ECU and making the car studder on acceleration. Sooo, we returned the fuel pump and exhaust back to stock. Then we turned off the boost controller so that the car would return to stock PSI. The car still runs like crap, meaning it feels like there is either a large boost leak or massive fuel cut durring acceleration. However, if you're going say 40-80mph and stomp the gas pedal the car runs great. It's only from 0-30ish that it doesnt want to accelerate smoothly. Will it ever be the same as when it was stock?? Furthermore, what can i do to fix this??
Thanks
Chris
