do i need the heater core for anything other then heat or can i safely remove it? im guessing i just connect the 2 outlets on my motor for the heater hoses together.

dash is already off the car so thats not a problem. while thats off what else can i get rid of? car also has no ac so the evap and blower motor would be coming out also.

Why, exactly, will you be removing the heater core to begin with? Is it leaking, or are you just trying to reduce weight so you 'feel' faster?

See what it does? Absolutely nothing unless you have a heter core leak.... im with the above poster, why?

why? cause the car really isnt going anywhere and i aint got nothing to do. ive had all my ac components off the car except for the under dash stuff so i decided what the hell?

the less things i have the less things that can go wrong thats what i always say. :thumb:

im also removing all the insulation and sound deadening stuff while im at it so yeah you can say im doing a bit of weight reduction too.

Haha. Well I suppose that's something to do.

You'll regret it if you ever need it during a cold drive. ;P

Lmao. true.

I just had a friend move here from over there north of Miami. He can't stand the weather right now. ;P

I will keep an eye out for you on here in a few months regretting taking all that stuff out. Leave it in and just loop the hoses. No sense in going through all that trouble just to eventually end up wanting to put it back in.
