I can't really decide which one would be better. Both cost around the same, I have an Fp manifold that i haven't installed yet and found a JMfab heat shield for 100 or i can get it coated for about the same with shipping. Did some searching but no one really says which one would be better.

Ceramic coat = cleaner look, baller status.
Shield = metal piece discolors and not as effective nor does it make engine bay look clean.
Wrap = looks ugly and I've heard stories where it ruined the manifold.

My 3 cents.

I had a tubular manifold before and it was hot!! Now my temps are much cooler and I can hold my hand right over the manifold as close as possible and it won't burn me. I believe the manifold is designed very well.... I was able to compare it to the evo 3 and it schools it. The best choice for a dd car like mine is a cast manifold. I also chose to have a cast manifold over my tubular one because the cast retains the heat which in turn helps the turbo spool faster.

ya tubular gets way to hot, im pretty stoked to get this on there along with my 3" exhaust this week. Don't know why I didn't do all this first haha, but i think i should notice some nice gains over the stock exhaust at 25psi on the t28. :thumb:
