Does anyone have a pictures of their 2G with the Lamin-X headlight film installed. Also if anyone has experience with it, does the 'optic blue' make for any loss in visibilty or hassle from Johnny Law, and where is the best place to order from, I dont see any precut kits for 2G's so I guess Id have to get those sheets of it. Thanks.

Im kind of interested to see how this looks myself, Im probably picking up a 2g very shortly.

Anything other than crystal clear will take away from being able to see in the dark. This may not be an issue if you've never walloped a deer, or if you never leave town. But it's not something you want to do for driving.
If you're in it for the profiling, then all bets are off. Whether your local coppers are the light-sensitive type seems to be a matter of luck, and where you live. Some have a bug up about it, many are just blind.

The main issue is the pitting from rocks and flaking of the protective coating so Id like to protect them so they don't get past the point of no return forcing either hundreds of dollars for stockers from satan or ugly, low light emitting projectors. The clear might be the best bet if even that light blue will reduce light output. Not many deer running around where I live in FL, but armadillos and raccoons are everywhere. Dont want to risk that sweet 97 Talon bumper either!!:thumb:

Has anyone seen the new tint that you can get to put over headlights and tail lights that isnt supposed to dim your lights? Or has anyone had the tint put on there headlights?

I don't have a link for it but my brother was at Tintmasters in Fargo, ND not too long ago and they told him about it. I was wondering how well the stuff actually works, thinking about getting it done to my talon.

Do you mean the headlight film stuff? Theres a guy around here that put some on his honda, looks amazing. He has yellow tint/film on his headlights and the light output is not any lower than stock.

Also another guy has 3M tint "film" on his cobras tail lights, again looks really really nice. This is a different product then the civic guy though.

I've seen the ad in several magazines.

I have a set of 2g taillights that have been professionally tinted no results on how bright they are yet...

Yep that sounds like what im talking about. How much does it usually cost?

I know the hobbie shop here in my town sells a spray on window tint. I did my 2G tail lights with it, they come out how ever dark you want. You just put more coats on.......I did mine black.....they look really good at night ill try to post some pictures if i can.

:dsm:

The can i bought cost about $5.00 and u can do a set of tail lights with it.

Theres a product called VHT Night Shades. Its a spray on tint for tail lights dont know if u can use it on headlights. Ive been trying to get it for years but they dont sell it in Canada. i know they have in the States cause they wont ship it to me

sure they do.. you just have to look :D
there are at least 2 shops here in London that sells night shades.

Yeah i know about nightshade but that dims the lights pretty good and i wouldnt recommend using them on headlights. A couple friends of mine have used nightshade on there tail lights and there is a noticeable difference in the brightness of there tail lights.

Thanks for all the input, I was wondering about it cause i would like to do that to my talon and i think black tint over the headlights and tail lights would look cool on my black talon.

Late response, but I have the clear on the headlights and the charcoal on the tail lights.

The clear has really helped with keeping the headlights free of rock chips, etc . . .

If anyone is interested, I could dig up some pix.

i never had any issues with the po po. visability was fine. this is my 06 spec v i had. unfortunately i no longer have it but just to give you an idea...

the lamin-x is kind of a pain to put on though cause of its thickness.
