Headgasket question?????

I am rebuilding my one of my motors. i have been looking around a lot of threads and forums for information. my question is what head gasket to use. i know i can't use a cometic because i have not had the block or head machined. i was wondering what head gasket to use if i would like to see as much as 35lbs of boost. would this gasket work with out machining the block and

The proper answer is you should use any MLS head gasket, only with a decked head & block. That being said many people run the Cometic headgasket without decking the block, the head ought to be checked at the bare minimum of straitness, and if unsure, get it decked.

The factory MLS gasket is also good, but I haven't heard as much feedback. the factory MLS, that you posted will hold what you want no issue, if paired with head studs.

And FYI, this is not a question some thats prepared to run 35psi asks. The fact that you have psi goals, and not HP goals is a key indicator.

I know people who have ran stock felpro with arp head studs on E85 at 35psi and as had no problems. I wouldnt advise it, but i do know people doing it.

No offense i know how to check to see if it is warped. I was wondering what is the limit for warp in the block and head. Is it like .002 or .010 so on so forth. my biggest reason for asking this question is so i do NOT make a noob mistake

.008 is the discard limit, after deck limit is like .004. If its over .004 I'd get it decked. For the head

This is all MLS gaskets, not just cometics.

Some people get by just fine, occasionally people push coolant.
