Im pretty sure I blew the head gasket on the way home today from work.. I was just cruising along and when I came to a stop the entire inside of the car filled up with whitish blueish smoke that wanted to make me choke.. I drove the car home about 3 miles from there and i see smoke is pouring out the exhaust. I just checked the coolant bottle and my coolant is almost black so im assuming my head gasket just bit the big one.
This just gives me an excuse to do everything i was planning on doing once i had to take the head out of the car.. figures, anyway what parts do i need for the head gasket? just the head gasket itself?
Im going to get an ARP head stud kit while its apart and prolly put a 1st gen intake manifold and throttle body on the car and get the head and exhaust manifold ported while i have a chance..
Is there anything I can check to know for sure that this is the head gasket and not something else??
