Im currently stuck between which type of headgasket to use. im rebuilding my motor and the block is getting the full works done to it (hot tank, decked, bored, magnafluxed, etc) im just unsure of what I should use. I know mls is a stronger option but im only rebuilding the motor to be a dd for about a year till im finished with Tech College and have more spare money for a performance build up. Ive found the MLS headgasket or a graphite headgasket. unsure which is best for me

just get a felpro composite head gasket form your local parts store. Will work just find and wont need the head and block resurfaced to a mirror finish. These have been proven to hold 30 psi plus so there's no reason not too. Plus it will save you some money

Well the block is already machined, plus im getting a master gasket set, I just have the option between a graphite or MLS headgasket. Machinist said I should be fine, im going to triple check my head flatness and make sure it doesn't have any scratches, nicks, etc.

I would go with MLS . I've used MLS in my past builds and current and have had no issues they hold up very strong.
