Headgasket Advice?

I got a torque wrench finally so will I need to get my head machined if I want my head gasket done. It doesn't over heat just smoke so will I be safe. Oh where can I get the torque specs also.

I would get it machined. But if you don't have the money then just go over it with a straight edge and make sure it isn't warped bad.

It will save you alot of time if you have the head checked before putting it back together.
