so i just got me a 1g head now the guy i got it from told me it was out of a 93 dsm. now it has a black plug in place where the cas usually sits. and he also stated that the cas was under the intake cam. with this said how easy is it to install on a 2g block. do i just rewire it to the cas that is on my car now or do i just try and put the cas thats on my car one there. this may have been covered but i was unable to find out exactly what the plug was.

I think he meant to say that the cam sensor trigger plate was behind the intake cam gear and the sensor is mounted to the back of the head by the intake cam gear. The 95-96 models had a cam sensor like this. If you have a CAS, I would use that.
