I have a 96 tsi fwd. i installed an aftermarket bov and a cold air intake. Now im having a problem that only happens in 2nd-5th gear when i am at full throttle and while im boosting at a higher pressure (usually around 3500-5000rpm). the car jerks a little and it just feels like i lost boost and the acceleration rate drops. How can i fix this? i dont know the formal term for this, otherwise i would do a lot more searching. is this a common issue? do i need to adjust something, or remove all my piping and mods?

The BOV may either be bleeding off if it is not recirculated properly or you may have a leak where is attached to the upper intercooler pipe. Your first bet is always to do a boost leak test. Also if you are modifying your first upgrade should have been a boost gauge to monitor if it is dropping off or not. Do you have one? Are you recirculating the BOV?

i put a 1g bov on it. so its not adjustable and i did a visual inspection of anywhere there could be a boost leak, and i didnt see any leaks, openings, rips, bent pipes, or loose hose clamps. i recently welded some lips on the ends of the bov pipe so the hoses dont slip either. is it possible that this problem could be something other than a leak?
I should put an aftermarket boost gauge on it, but im ready to give up and sell the thing because im tired of trying to fix this and getting nowhere. :banghead:

also its recirculating like the factory bov was

thats a very good point, i should get the gauges, i was thinking i should get the gauge pod for my A pillar to hold a boost gauge and a wideband.
is there anything i should check for besides boost leaks?

Do a correct boost leak first, find your leaks and fix them accordingly, no need to start jumping into needing bigger injectors.... You mention nothing of a larger turbo, or any other mods that may require additional parts.
