Hello guys,

Been a long time since I last did anything with DSM's, and recently had the joy to drive my friends 97 GST which has an evo3 16g and a race tranny... he hasn't done anything with the fuel pump ever since he got the evo3 in, would it make a difference?

His car pulls pretty hard.

depends on what boost you are running. When I had the evo 3 16g on my gsx, i was experiencing fuel cut around 18psi. You really dont wanna go over that without upgrading your fuel system. I upgraded to a Walbro 255 and pte 680cc injectors, and pressure regulator
.

I wouldn't run more than 12lbs , At the moment I am running 11 on my s16g and I am not going to push it any further until I get my injectors and 255 into the car.

If you are going to start upping the boost make sure you have a wideband and a datalogger.

Injectors are a must and if you dont have dsmlink and know how to cheat and get away with not using a fpr then you also need a fpr like the other posts said. You can prob max out the 16g on that fuel pump, look into the fuel pump rewire its on the site. The rewire will give your fuel pump a nice jolt in the ass so to say. I ran 15 lbs everyday for like 6 months on a stock fuel system , just barely under factory fuel cut. I never had any problems but the same might not work for you so if your on the cautious side of things then i prob wouldnt do that.

On very low boost it is ok. I always recommend a 255 non hp and a set of 650cc injectors that way you can still run just an SAFC if need be. Also recommend a logger and a wideband to monitor knock and a/f. When you create a thread it automatically pulls up related one's. They are very helpful.

All that without searching.

Yep get a upgraded fuel pump, and perhaps larger injectors you plan to tune with, I have 560cc right now, but im planning to get some more fuel. I also plan to get dsmlink, but i think until then i might get some 680cc to go along with my fmic.

i have to agree with afroeclipse and blackgsTurbo, this is a very common thread and easy to find, and Dsmj nailed that on the money! with a proper tune and mods around 300HP but with a FMIC, MBC, yada yada yada 300HP is in the near future
