1G Hatch lift supports

Does anyone know what the force pound weight is on a 1G hatch lift support? I installed a wing on the back of my car and now the hatch won't stay up due to the extra weight. Looking at buying some aftermarket ones just wanted to make sure I get some with enough force to be able to lift and hold hatch up so if anyone can help that would be great thanks

would recommend checking ebay, rockauto...etc. for them. i replaced mine a couple months ago because the old ones wouldnt hold the hatch up either. the new ones have no problem. got them from ebay i think for around 25-30bucks

No I'm sorry I don't...I've never bothered checking that if the info is even available...I would think tho that if they lift the hatch itself which is heavy to begin with, adding your wing probably won't make that big of a difference...unless its some gigantic Sprint car wing

Now that you made me curious enough to look...there are some listed on AutoZone and Amazon's websites that range from 60lbs apiece to 100lbs apiece. Not all of the struts list the force pounds of the struts but some do. Good luck!

No I'm sorry didn't look at part numbers however you can search by year, make and model and it should point you in the right direction

I have had really good luck with the Advance Auto ones. I have moved them from one failed project to another over the years with no problems. I don't have any specs, but they are tight. Real good deal with coupon codes.
