Is there any difference between 2ga hatch hinges and 2gb hinges? I got a cf hatch off a 96 i think and went to put it on my car and the holes didn't line up so I was like WTF!! Is there any way to get the hinges off and swap or something? Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it work please help!!

I honestly can't imagine them would be different. I have a 2Ga and a 2Gb in my driveway right now. I will look and post back on here later. How far off are the holes? Could you get by with drilling the holes wider or oblonging the holes?

That what i thought. Im not sure about the drilling, like looking through the bracket holes one hole on each side line up but the other two are half visiable. I have two bolts in there now and it seems to hold but i dont feel the most comfortable with it.

Oblong the hole in the hinge. Don't touch the threaded hole.

Just make it so it is more of a slot than a hole and you should be fine.

I checked yesterday, the hinges are exactly the same. And no, the bolts wont fall out if you oblong the hinge.

They are different.
But the only part that is different is the metal latch itself.
When I swapped the hatch on my 95, with a 97 hatch I had to swap the latch too because one was longer than the other.
It might be because I have a 94 build date, but I don't think so.

side note :banghead:<---this was headbanging to the beat of the song i was listening to when i made this post hahaha:hellyeah:

:hmm: This is interesting, I will check the build date on my 95, maybe they changed the hinge later in the 95 built cars.
