I was thinking of doing it but I have no clue what it will sound like, to take out the resonator on a stock exhaust. Any vids? What do you guys think?

It won't do much if anything for the sound. You maybe just a touch louder if any at all. When I had my 2G n/t I took the res off it and it didn't make any difference except a little more drone in the car. If you want to make a difference in the sound leave everything before the muffler intact and take the car to a muffler shop and have them put a flowmaster on it with a nice daul tip (Close to the factory size). I did that to my 94' when I first swaooed it out and it actually sounded really nice. Not to loud just right without the drone in the car. I am going to be doing this to the 93' GSX. You can try it with the res in place first and see if you like it that way. If you want it a little louder take the res out. Mine didn't have a resonator in the exhaust.

test pipe FTW LOL

Test pipe ftl :thumb: If you want a horrible drone and vibration go ahead and cut out the res and cat. I found out with mine I got a horrible rattling, vibration noise when the cat wasn't in place. It sounded almost as if the motor mounts where bad ( the where new at the time) and the engine was vibrating the car. This only happend in the upper rpm's. Idle and cruise where fine. With the cat in place the car sounded great

they might have just left the heat shield in place and didn't secure it. even with my cat on i had a bad rattle. i re-welded the shield, problem solved. still don't have a resonator, car sounds great. :)
