I recently bought a transmission and I had installed it last night. Comparing it to my transmission it runs a lot better, since 2nd gear syncro isn't shot! BUT when I try taking off on 1st gear, the tranny jerks as I let off the clutch as if I am letting it go too soon. Same thing happens on 2nd. When I get into 3rd-5th it shifts fine and smooth and no jerking.

I don't know what it may be but, I do have to push the clutch all the way to the floor on 1st and 2nd, but after that, the rest of the gears are able to get in with no troubles.

-I didn't touch the hydro clutch line when I was changing out my tranny. I put 2L of pennzoil syncromesh and 24oz of Lucas tranny fluid leak stopper/smooth shifter.

Well there you go, the clutch might still be dragging slightly when it's pushed in. 1st and 2nd are more sensitive to this kind of adjustment. So try adjusting the clutch using the adjuster rod under the dash.

OK so try that link without the "www" in front of it.
