Hey guys, I was wondering when they say "hacked air box", what do they mean? I looked at my air box and the section where it cuts off from the bolted vented section, it got me. I have read the free mod thread but still don't get it and need some help.

And another thing, how do you clear your side markers? Are you supposed to heat up the sides to warm up the glue, pull off then heat up the yellow film in it them glue them back on?

Any feedback would be awesome except the mean ones! :notgood: THANKS!

hacked air box, take it right off, and clear your side markers, they make them clear already, less hassle, not to expensive either

hacked air box, take it right off,

No "hacking" your airbox means literally that. It means to hack it up i.e. drill some holes in it. You cant just "take it right off" because if you still have the stock airbox, you have a flat, rectangle shaped filter which sits in the box. You need to get the part that attaches to the MAS that allows you to use a cone shaped filter if you dont want the box, or a K&N FIPK

Seriously... don't waste your time "trying" to make your OEM corners clear. If you can't afford to buy the clear corners you should just sell your car right now. LOL Heck, if i knew where mine were at, i'd just give you them... i think somebody else that was broke probably jacked mine though, sorry bub. They've been MIA for months now.

Clear corners are like $20. Otherwise I wouldn't waste your time trying to make crappy corners LOL. I don't know if it's even possible.

it is possible and i have seen it done... it actually looked kinda tite.... yes, you have to heat them up a pit to get the glue to separate, then you just remove the yellow insert...

i dont think the guys talking about the bumper side lights. hes talking abou tthe lense inside the headlight itself. yes you do have to bake it a little to warm up the glue then seperate it. after you takeout the lense shove it back into the oven and rebake it to seal again check for holes maybe even use silicone.
