Does anyone know if H&R OE springs are available for a '95 Talon TSI/AWD? They seem to all be for the FWD.
Thanks :talon:

I do understand that the racing springs with a 1.5-1.75" drop will fit. I am asking about the OE springs with the very slight drop. Hop up states that they fit the 2wd with no mention of the AWD. A slight drop with stiffer dampers for daily spirited driving is what I'm after.
Thanks for the reply though. :talon:

I was not aware that the FWD and the AWD were the same car. They are not. Bruno at Tirerack is looking into it for me. Thanks anyway.

H&Rs website only lists them for the FWD. I'm probably out of luck on this one.

why dont you just get the "sport spring" (not the race spring) its just a little stiffer than stock "for spirited daily driving" and will give you a moderate nice drop so you look better also.
sounds like what your looking for. just keep in stock shocks with the sport springs and it will be a smooth ride. :thumb:

why are you set on the oe spring?
thats kina a waste imo.. good luck

Oh, I don't know. I'm an engineer and I'd like to think that the original design may be the best compromise between ride, performance, and production cost. I do quite a bit of "design improvements" so my thinking is most likely off base. Sports with, say, KYB? I need new dampers as well. Lotsa smooth twisty roads here in MD,VA,WV. Lotsa crap as you get closer to DC or Balt.

yeah im getting the kyb "agx" in a bit one of my oe shocks went so i will be doing that also. im running the sport springs from H&R so i know they are a smooth ride. buddy of mine has a set in his 2g and he likes them also. :thumb:

i suggest you get the agx as you can adjust to your ride comfort and for them twisty roads or you could stick with just the regular kyb both are a good choice. ive run race "stiffer" springs in the past along with performance shocks on different cars mainly for drifting set up's and well im getting to old for that crap i guess. make your kidneys hurt and you have to piss too much LOL

good luck

Here's a radical idea. Even though some vendor says that the OE Sports are only for FWD 2Gs, why not put them on a AWD 2G anyway? I promise I won't tell.

H&R said it, and they make it. Others sell what they make. Make sense?

Did H&R tell you that springs that are supposedly for a FWD 2G won't fit an AWD 2G, or did they tell you that they won't work well?

If the latter, did they say why?

I'm shooting off at the mouth here, so I could be way off, but I would think the awd is heavier in the rear (duh). So wouldn't you want stiffer springs in the rear as opposed to what would be considered stiff for a fwd? Or is the weight difference between the two insignificant enough to not matter?

Got a great deal on suspension @ cox import. They know what they are talking about and have competitive prices.

Edit out the vendor bashing-L2RTSiAWD

well the ones at hopupracing must just be for FWD casue if u look at speedcutoms thats for AWD and its two diff part#

Is it a different part# because it is different in shape (such that FWD springs won't fit on an AWD), or is it a different part# merely because the springs have different rates?
