Aright, so i was driving my car the other day and it just died with all the symptons of having run out of gas. After putting gas in the tank, still nothing. I replaced the fuel pump thinking it might have been that since i didnt hear any whirring with the key in the on position and still nothing, finding out my old fuel pump was good. Now after trying to start the car for a while it still wont start but i have smoke coming out of my exhaust with a fuel odor so im trying to figure out whats wrong and i just cant, please help me out with my 1g Gs-t

Sounds like you lost fire. I have more questions than answers so here goes. Pull plugs and look at them. If they are dry you probably lost fuel. If wet, you probably lost fire. Do a compression test if engine sounds funny while cranking. Do a spark test. I see more crank angle sensors die than anything, but you can lose the igniter also. Do some preliminary tests and post your findings so I can help you isolate your problem. Let me know what you do not have. Good Luck

Yeah, sounds more like a spark issue rather then a fuel issue. I would check your cas, coil, or power transistor.

aright i checked the spark and i have spark and my engine has an even crank, so im guessing i have compression, How would i go about checking the CAS. Also, i can smell fuel coming from my exhaust so im pretty sure that means that fuel is getting into the motor, correct? Could this have anything to do with my ecu and if so how would i know

Can you hit the gas peddle while the car is cranking, and get it to start?

Sounds like an ignitor/coil problem to me.

aright, just did a compression check with the engine cold and heres the "SHITTY" results

100-160-160-155

well, i opened up my valve cover last night and figured it out everyone, yep thats right, i snapped my exhaust cam in to, right down the center
