Hi i have gotten a really good deal on some gsx racing sway bars and im wondering if there are any differences between the front and rear suspension on these cars. Thanks -Brian

When we had the group buy for RM sway bars a few years back... It was divided between AWD and FWD because the rear sway bars are different, probably due to the exhaust position/rear differential or something

yeah it looks like fwd wouldnt fit on a gsx, but the other way around im not sure, i think it could fit but at the same time im pretty new to this:) i got this guy selling the pair for 50 dollars and they look brand new thats why im so interested

If you look on Extreme PSI, the RM shows fitment for AWD but the other brands show for both. Maybe it's particular to RM's design.

Yeah just found out the guy got RM swaybars, idk should i just try it out or would that be stupid? might be out of luck

i drove last night to get them if they dont fit thats ok, i chose this path myself :thumb: :thumb: will let you guys knowwhat happens. I also have a 3 inch catback so will see if that gives any clearance issues ;)

I was under my car last night doing some work on the rear sway bar/bushings. The exhaust didnt look like it would be something in the way, so you might get lucky that the AWD fits the FWD. There doesnt look like any obstruction, but it might not work the other way where the FWD might not fit the AWD with the rear diff to consider (i dont have an AWD so cant say for sure). Let us know how it goes so at least there is an answer that is recorded.

But just so its said i have a 96 ''rs'' with the non turbo 4g63. i dont think there is much difference from the gst because mine came with a rear sway bar. Im not sure if its been modified to have the lower arms from a gst, or if euro spec is different and comes with rear arms compaired to the 420a us cars. i heard that the lower spec cars came without rear sway bars but might be wrong.

Update: i have tried it and it seems that it wont fit for the rear, however im pretty sure you could modify to make it fit. My exhaust is 3inch and is getting hit by the bump on the left side of the bar. Sooo im thinking it could work to try and massage the metal above the exhaust to make it fit. Just thinking out loud.
