GST shell turned to AWD

Is it possible to buy a gst 2g shell, and a 1g awd. Then swap the 1g engine, and drive train (making 2g awd then) into the 2g. I have seen dodge avenger swaps were they put the awd 4g63 into the avenger in-turn making a awd avenger. If this is possible wouldn't it be fair to say swapping a 1g drive train into a 2g is possible, and probably easier then said swap? What i really would like to know is if anyone has any info, or has done a similar swap. Also how difficult and time consuming would this swap be? thanks

You can swap the motor from the 1G but the AWD drivetrain components would have to come from a 2g AWD..

ya exactly what he said, 1g tranny wont work in a 2g unless you can really fab up mounts! the tranny mounts up totally different in a 1g compared to a 2g so you get a 2g tranny and use the 1g motor!
