so I got the greddy small fmic with optional piping. Optional piping came 3 peices and ic came with 3 peices so total of 6 pieces, however, I have a one peice j pipe that connects to the stock ic. So I am wondering I I still use the optional greddy piping. I know i use 2 of them but the third one I dont use?

ALso does anyone know if the intercooler fits the whole space like the big one does on 2g 97 and up?

The Greddy IC (well atleast the big one for sure) are designed to hook up to the stock SMIC pipeing location, if you have a new pipe already that runs all the way from the turbo comp outlet to the stock SMIC inlet then you shouldn't need the option lower pipes. No the smaller core won't fill the whole opening on a 97+ bumper.

damn, I wanted it to cover the whole thing up oh well, do you by any chance have a picture of the small greddy ic installed?

Google pictures is your friend ;) Didn't find a pic with the front bumper on, but here's one of the core installed. If you look at my fmic, check out the gaps from the headlights to the greddy core and you will be able to tell how much it will fill. Basically the inner corners of the headlights is where the opening comes to.

Thanks, I just found some on cardomain as well with the bumper on...

The small greddy ic doesnt look no where as sexy as the big one =(

So the piping is different then right? ### the bigger one would need longer ones?

O well, on a plus note, I guess it would mean better cooling for the radiator.

How do you mean the pipeing is different between the two? Yes the pipeing will be slightly different lengths to fit up to the different sized cores but the route of the pipeing will be the same for both kits.

damn, I was told when I bought the kit it was a big one but the box it came in clearly says 18r, oh well, I still got the complete kit with optional piping and type rs bov for 400 so I guess it wasnt bad.
