I'm buying a weld-on flange so I can put my Greddy RS onto the custom I/C pipes I'm having made, and I could not tell which exact one I needed. My pipes are aluminum, so I assume that you don't mix aluminum and steel, so as far as the aluminum flanges go, there were several different sizes listed. One specifically that I saw was 34mm and was for 2g DSMs, so I'm pretty sure it'll work with custom pipes for a 1G. Right or wrong?

the flange should only be specific to the greddy BOV, not if it's 1g or 2g. By eyeballing (and by memory) I would say the valve for a type S is right around 34mm, and since the RS is noted to have a larger valve (possibly closer to 38-40mm) you will possibly have to buy that one. IMO, just get the 34mm one, and then bore it out with a die grinder to the appropriate size. It won't hurt performance at all, and this way you'll be fine.

Or, you could always just do some research on the RS valve and see what size it is, then get the right one. :p

last note, aluminum and steel are not recommended to be welded and used together due to their different heat expansion rates. In your case, for IC pipes, that weld will hardly have a problem holding together. How do I know? I have the same setup you do with a flange from RRE. no problems for the past year :).

Your right aluminion and steel don't mix. If your going with a Greddy RS I believe it is aorund 40mm, it's slightly larger than the type s. I would go for the 40 mm size one, or you can do like blcknspooln said buy the 34mm and die grind it down.
