Well I recently bought a car, and it has a Grant steering wheel. The horn didn't work, so I decided to remove the 5 allan bolts, and take the steering wheel off.

There is a single black wire behind the steering wheel. And there is also one single connector coming off the back of the steering wheel. I thought I would just plu this in, and be all set - not the case.

With that single black wire hooked up to the only connector on the back of the wheel - as soon as it makes contact with the column, it constantly beeps.

On the back of the steering wheel, I think there might have been two connectors orginally. There is a rivet in the center, and it looks like there might have orginally been a connector there.

I'm totally lost, and was wondering if anyone had any info. Been to the Grant site, not to helpful at all. Thanks very much for the space!

well, The facts might show that the switch for the horn on the wheel might be bad and instead of pressing the button to sound the horn the button is shorting out. in other words (this might be backwords but) the horn gets pwr and the ground is through switch, when depressing the switch finishs the circuit and the horn goes off.
just my .02

hope it helps
