Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

The official release date is less than a month away and I'm getting extremely anxious. It doesn't help that GTplanet keeps putting up awesome screen shots and even better videos of the game play. I've been playing these games since GT2 and they just keep getting better and better. Hell, I don't even own a PS3 right now and really the only thing thats been holding me back has been the release of the next GT series game. Luckily, that release is quickly approaching!

I can't wait, love the series. Glad this one has more oversteer than in GT4.

The incar views add a ton for me because I hate using outside car views. I need to feel as though I'm actually driving to really get me into the race.

You have to understand, its very very hard for these people to keep the camera steady when they are jacking off at the same time. Most of the guys that go out and get this "special" footage haven't seen a girl in years, possibly decades.






the game looks pretty tight though, but I'll take the real roads/road courses ANY day over some simulator

I remember the series and I have GT3 personally myself. I never play it anymore though but I did enjoy it much. The graphics keep getting better and better. The actual in car dash view def has me sold. I always said how they need to add that in and now they finally have.

I don't mean to brag or anything but I've been playing the Prologue for the past few months. Bought it from play-asia.com. The game is truly awesome, I can't wait for the full game to come out.

Don't lie, everyone knows you can't completely beat GT2 to 100%. You can finish all the races, but thanks to Polyphony Digital leaving something out of the US version you can't get past like 98.7%

It's not. You can find the complete car list on gtplanet.net

In fact I think there's only 2 or 3 Mitsubishi's at all. Due to the enormous amount of detail going into each car it seems that they've drastically scaled back the overall amount of cars. I believe there's around 70 or 80 now instead of the 180 that some of the other games had. Of course I'm not going to miss the minivans and the little 53hp K-cars that some of the old games had. In fact I'm going to miss this game altogether since I went with the 360 this time around instead of the PS3.

Yes, GT5 is just a teaser to the actual GT5. Thats why there is only 60 cars and 10 tracks of something like that. GT5 is supposed to be enormous, tons of tracks, tons of car. Can't wait.

I can't wait either (even though I don't own a PS3)! My roommate got me playing GT4 this semester and we got a steering wheel for it a little while ago - makes it 10x more fun!!

Yes, the full version is scheduled to come out sometime in 2009.

Just picked my copy on my lunch break. Unfortunately it is currently sitting next to me on my desk at work. Quitting time can't come fast enough.

And I'm going to have to settle for playing in 480i for now because I can't afford a baller TV just yet.
