Just picked my copy on my lunch break. Unfortunately it is currently sitting next to me on my desk at work. Quitting time can't come fast enough.

And I'm going to have to settle for playing in 480i for now because I can't afford a baller TV just yet.

I do!!!! But I don't have a HDMI...or a PS3...or the game...blast it...Let me know how GREAT it is. As soon as the real GT5 is out I am getting a PS3.

I have a 32" 1080i HDTV w xbox 360 & HDMI cable setup. But... im in IRAQ!!! *#$( Which is not that bad since I took my 360 with me.. Miss the HDTV though.

And while I have loved the GT series, depending on what is allowed in modding and damage to the cars, and how much the PS3 drops in price will all deteremin on if I take the plunge once I get back from Iraq. Right now I am just not paying the asking price for a PS3 w/blue ray.

Not when I have a REAL 4g63 that needs a good rebuild.

The game is really fun but seriously it is just to little of a teaser. I'm glad it has online play so I might be able to wait fo rthe full version.

A little glitch to my standard game plan is that you can't modify the gars with upgraded parts. I think once you have beaten all three classes you can access a tuning screen and adjust things but for the first run through you have to play on an even playing field with the computer opponents.

In fact I think there's only 2 or 3 Mitsubishi's at all. Due to the enormous amount of detail going into each car it seems that they've drastically scaled back the overall amount of cars. I believe there's around 70 or 80 now instead of the 180 that some of the other games had. Of course I'm not going to miss the minivans and the little 53hp K-cars that some of the old games had. In fact I'm going to miss this game altogether since I went with the 360 this time around instead of the PS3.

You can't really compare the amount of cars in GT5 Prologue to the other GT series games.

GT5 Prologue is just a glorified demo of the final product. Once the actual GT5 comes out then you will be able to compare.

I will be picking this game up since they announced that there will be away to carry over things like credits and cars to the real GT5 when it is released.

Also, GT5 Prologue will still get updates such as a damage model in the future and possible expansions (cars and tracks) later on down the road.

THIS is why I want to get it so bad. So that way they can put in every major track in the world on it. Like all the track in the US, and some huge ones that F1, FIA, and even maybe some special rally stages from all over the place. This is why I am happy that the PS3 has all those online goodies.

I picked it up a few days ago and just played it yesterday. I like it. Very nice detail and such. The in-cockpit view is awesome.

YUp awesome game.. Lag sucks.. And the fact that you can look around the cockpit or adjust the viewing angle sort of sucks..

You can look at the back of the cockpit by hitting L1.

I don't think the in car viewing angle should be adjustable since that would be the viewing angle while sitting in the car. It's not like you can adjust your height in real life.

I haven't had any lag when playing online or off. Unless somebody is downloading stuff and using up my bandwidth.

I just went out and bought a PS3 yesterday so I could play GT5P. Good game so far. More challenging than the other games. The driving dynamics are completely different, and I'm getting use to that. But overall, the brakes and steering feel more realistic. I want the F1.

Wait till you get to the S class and start getting penalties.
It's tough but it keeps you driving proper.

Been there. I got a few bullshit penalties. I out braked a guy in a slow turn and then he left the racing line. I had the line, we hadn't touched yet, and he came back and bumped me when he attempted to get back in line. I got stuck with a penalty even though I had the line for a couple seconds since over taking.
I was still learning the braking on this game, and got a few penalties for the "learning curve." It's so much more different than GT4.

No, but you can adjust your seat... I mean You cant even see the whole windshield. In other games that have in car views you can usually move your head, or adjust the view in some way.
