Gotta few questions

I am in the process of getting things ready to rebuild my 6 bolt for my 91 tsi and had a few questions. Right now the car is set up with a front mount and the bov is vented to the atmosphere but the guy I bought the car from said he had issues with it running right and so forth so my question is should I take the fmic off and put the factory sidemount and so on back on the car when i drop the rebuilt motor back in? The reason I am thinking I am going this route is because I am wanting to get the car running decent before march since I am leaving for Iraq. When I get back I plan on doing a blow through set up and several other mods but do to time and money I want to hold off. Is there anything else that I should do to help make sure this car will run smoothly when finished with the rebuild.

I'd leave on the FMIC but I would also make sure the BOV is recirculated.

the reason its not running right is probably because of the bov being vented

+1 for both. Keep the front mount but recirculate the BOV until you get ECM link or a tuning program that allows you to run the bov to the atmosphere

if its a stock bov i would recurculate it if it a good name brand bov it would be ok to atmosphere

Uhmmmm, no. Both do the same EXACT function. Aftermarket or not, it must be recirculated.

yup just get a crushed 1g and you should be good to go.
