Got three gauges installed

Well today i took my car to pruven performance to install my gauge they did a great job, cost a lot $320 but it was done right, i got boost/vaccum,volt, and water temp... and my ques is while i was at a traffic light the boost gauge read 17-19 vaccum what is vacumm?? and my max boost was 13psi thats great, and i dont even have a boost controller, my volt read around 14 and water temp vaired went to 200 degrees was a bit surprised casue i got a 170 stat

Sounds good to me, vacuum helps show how healthy your motor is. 17-19 at idle is really good, how many miles does your car have? Boost sounds about right for a 2G. The 170 tstat just means that it opens at 170 degrees to let water flow through the radiator, it doesn't mean that your temp will always stay at 170. You probably were in traffic and had the AC on, this usually will cause higher water temps, as well as living in hot, humid ass FL. Well good luck and take care.

hey, thanks.... i have 77k so if the vaccum shows 17-19 does that mean my turbo is ok(stock t25) their was some oil in the intake when i took it out, but i thinks that normal....
yeah about the stat i was in traffic ,a/c thats out!!

Vacuum is...vacuum. Sucking. Vacuum. Means instead of your turbo putting pressure into the car (boost/psi), it's showing how many pounds of air your engine is sucking in to function on its own.

You can't have too much vaccuum because there is a certain point where it is impossible to have any more. Not enough vaccuum can indicate a leak somewhere in your intake system.
