Hey guys whats up, I Just washed my car and noticed a had some wierd spots on my hood and windshield(actually i noticed this about 3 weeks ago but figured they'd come off with my next car wash but they didnt:mad:). When i tried to wash them off i noted that it wasnt water comingoff like if it was grease, you know like moving from one place to the other, spreading, making the spot bigger.
I know this aint nothing to die for, but i did recently paint the car about a year ago and i want to keep it looking nice. Is there anything that i could use to solve the annoying spots?
If I use goo-gone i know they would come off, but i dont want to damage the clear coat

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I got pix, i'll post them in a bit.

one of our local car washes have a tar & bug remover in the selections I used it on my dump truck when I had asphalt tar stuck to the hood and it didnt take my clear coat off.

I run a detail shop and come accross this alot to me it sounds like you are descibing the pitch that comes off of some type of tree havent figured out which one, Since your paint is pretty fresh I wouldnt use any type of degreaser or solvent on it I would hook up a hot water line if possible or get really hot water in a super soapy bucket and wash it good when you are done get your fav wax and wax the car and the spots will be gone.

Its tree sap. A few of the guys have it right here. Bug and Tar remover, wd40, kerosene and or claybar will all work. Paint is not fresh either so wd40 will not hurt a thing.

WD-40 is likely to pull off fresh paint. Stay with the soapy water. God knows the quality of the new paint.

Have you seen:mad: my car?

Sorry, but the pictures don't mean a thing as to the quality of the paint. You said you'd had it painted "recently". You didn't mention what kind of paint nor what company. Excuse my stupid ass for trying to save yours.
