If you're really serious, the Kumho rally tires from Tire Rack are good. If you're just messing around, a set of Blizzaks would be fine.

Silverstone makes a good cheap tire... I have Pirlles, michilens....
try to find used tires from a big team..... AVsport used to be in AZ but they have sense shut down and started under a new name.... You should ask around on special stage first.......

Do you plan to rally or rally X?

Larry

whoa! sweet. what sizes do you have? and what price range are they going for?

im just started to get the things put together for rally not x and i need tires so mise well get a good pair whyll im getting some

What class to plan to run in? I would not recomend building an "open" class car.... There are just too many newer cars out there and also the people that can have those new cars have money and that means more tires... :)

I would recomend buying a already preped car if you are certain you wish to rally....I would recomend a Honda Or VW to start with....

I built a open car beacuse it was giving to me...I made a very good est as to what I would spend on the car and i blew that out of the water.....

Buying is always cheaper in the end!!!

Forced indution and all wheel drive cars cost more to run maintain.....

If I could do it over again I would have have a 97 integra GSR....

No High octain fuel, no turbo woes, no tuning problem.....

Best of Luck!!

I raced my Old galant VR4 in two or three rally cross races in florida, I think that the Falken tires we not to bad in the sand. your tires are really going to depend on the enviroment, I never had to worry about rocks and roots. just a thought:thumb: :dsm: Look for a VR4 Gallant really fast and easy to fix up all the 1g Talon awd parts can interchange with a little modification

I dunno if they are still trying to sell these but theres a company making tires called blackrocket that was selling knock off michelin L pattern gravel tires supposedly cheap. Might want to look into it. You might find some used tires with low wear for really cheap if you look in the right places... Otherwise for cheap rallycross only I might get so kuhmos but probably not snowtires. I ran some cooper weathermasters s/t and they werent as good as an actual rally tire. They also got me into open classes with other cars that had rally tires which didnt help me at all.
