i have a 96 rs and it has 200k miles and its time for a new engine. i first thought of buying a used 420a w/ low miles (easier cuz it direct swap) then getting a turbo kit. But i figured it would probably be cheaper and better to just buy the 1gen 4G63. if ne one knows of ne places that have good prices on the engine can yall please let me now. :thumb: :dsm:

I think you are getting in over your head. If you want a turbo car, buy a turbo car. That is not an easy swap for a beginner. There is a post right below this one about the same swao you are talking about, you should read it.

it all depends on how much you want to spend. howell automotive can make you a bad a$$ 420a. or you can get a motor for ebay, junkyard, ect.... In all honesty if you want a turbo car a gst/x is a easyer way the 420a takes a lot of time, parts, and work. But it can be done and it can be fast
