Looked around the search a bit but couldn't find anybody with exactly a 17x9 rim with 40mm off set. I have 2ga knuckles. Someone's selling a set of brand new enkeis for fairly cheap, and I need a set of rims for summers. So it seems like it could be a good match up.

Is anyone running 9" rims with a 40 offset? With out rubbing?

From what I have read it's something like 3 to 5mm but not 100% sure on that. That's the size of my tires but remember section width will vary by manufacturer. So a 245 from one company may be slightly wider or narrower than a different company. That can really matter when it comes to close clearances...

Yeah, I guess it's like shoea everyone has a different opinion on measurments. I was thinking Michelin pilot super sports or pilot sports all season as I am in canada... LOL

I run 18x9 plus 35 and i have good inner clearance, but hit the rear tires on the quarter panel with 245/40 tires. (My tires run wider than 245).

I'm going to try 18x8.5 plus 38 next time so i gain some outer clearence and move up to 255/35 tires.

I suppose if I get a bit of rubbing I could try spacers or try and score some 2gb knuckles. I take it the the 2ga & 2gb knuckles have the same mounting points and are interchangeable?
