Good deal? Too good to be true?

I've used some of the brands in that kit with good results.

The ITM timing belt components are good quality. The ACL bearings are currently in two of my customer's cars and holding on strong.

My only beef was with their head gaskets....I have one in a non-turbo 4G63 and it's doing great, but I used one of their graphite head gaskets (which looked to be OEM quality) in a turbo 4G63 and it blew between cylinders 2 & 3 at the 63 mile mark when running just 15psi.

I was going to use an MLS head gasket either way. I just wish I could get everything but the pistons and head gasket.

Practically everything is packaged individually.....you can email the seller and see if they'll sell you the kit without the pistons (the head gasket will be in the gasket set), or you could buy a rering kit and add a timing belt kit from another auction.

My car has a brand spanking new timing belt on it. I really would just need a component kit. ALso the oil pump is new as well. I'm not looking to build a track monster. Yet... I just want something more reliable than what I got now. Which is a car that barely runs thanks to a neglecting previous owner.

Then why the hell are you inquiring about this kit if you want to eliminate the most expensive parts?

Now you're down to a complete head set (minus the graphite gasket), timing belt pulleys, bearings, and piston rings. That can all be had for $150.

I'm kind of wary about eBay products. I think if I indeed get this kit I might as well do everything all new. One thing I'm not too keen on is the pistons. They look kind of cheap...

Not worth it if you arent going to use all the parts.I would piece some parts from other auctions.

you can get a topline gasket kit at modern automotive performance .com for $118.99 and get free shipping. I've bought stuff off ebay with good results but you have to watch the shipping and don't be afraid to ask questions. I look at it like buying a used car you have to be careful or you'll end up buying a lemon.
