Going from AEM to Dsmlink

What else do i need besides a MAF, eprom ecu? My throttle body has a tps and a idle sensor the idle sensor is not plugged in i guess they eliminated it how could i get it back ?

All you need is a socketed 95 eprom ecu and a 2g mas or gm maft. I highly recommend sticking to the 2g mas as it makes tuning easier.
Not sure about the idle switch thing but it's probably just wiring involved to get it working again.

DSMLink can simulate the idle switch, no need for any wiring. You'll never look back after switching to Link.

Under the "TPS" menu in Link, you can simulate the Idle switch. Can't help you on the O2 though, sorry.

Was the stock 02 sensor plug in the bay cut? If not, you should be able to just plug it in (a stock sensor that is). Not sure what was done at the ECU harness side, hopefully none of the wires were cut.

The car is a 95 tsi I am going to have to look harder for the o2 wires because all the wires are hidden on the car and its tough to find everything. But if not anyone know how to wire it up?

all current plx sensors output a 0-5v and a 0-1v, just take the gray wire fro mteh plx controller amd wire it to the old Front O2 wire. If you can ot locate this in the engine bay, just wire it in at the ECU. www.vfaq.com under eletrical has pinout for the 1/2Gs. then ground the black wire as close to the ECU as possible. Then use a 0.1uF 50v ceramic cap and wire it between the 2 wires listed above. Then wire in the 0-5V line into an approprate input on the ECU, add another cap, and log plx wb. Its really pretty straight foward. Here are install instruction direct from PLX.

I am still waiting for my PLX-M300, but I have installed 3 so far. Pretty nice and realitivily cheap units. And last, congrats on the dsmlink purchase. It is seriosuly one of the best things I have done for my car. Ability to control timing independant of fuel, added loggin inputs (gm3.3bar IE delphi sensor, plx, and oil temp on mine) using the nitrous contols (via FPR solenoid) to control the turbo xs dual stage based off of throttle, rpm, speed, AND knock which is great for FWDs. AWESOME logging rate, and even better support and updates. DSMlink will be recommended by me anyday of the week.

Hey so its been awhile guys but I have everything done but the thing is i the car tries to start but once it sounds like its started it pops and blows out black smoke. Going from aem to dsmlink would I have to change the order of the plug wires because I read with a 95 eprom in a different year 2g you need to change the wires...but since it had aem i dont know if that is a possibility. Also if my ecu was fried would the car still try to start like its doing??? Thanks
