If i have the GM MAF and translator, do i need a logger to be able to tune? or will i be able to tune at the dyno with out having a logger? And also, is it a bad idea to cut my 2.5" UICP and then use couplers (2.5"-3") to mount my MAF? And also, is venting still a bad idea? will i loose any power?

Ive searched the first 5 pages under the search "maf translator", and i didnt exactly get all the info i wanted, so please help

yes you need a logger to tune...if you run your maf blow through, venting will be fine....just make sure you put it after the BOV

thanx for the feedback, i was under the impression that i could tune without a logger if i was at the dyno bc the dyno will show fuel maps and then i can play with the fuel ratio from their. if im ever in holdrege ill look for you :thumb:

how good would my car run if i were to use this setup?
walbro 255lph HP, stock injectors, stock 14b, 3" cat-back, intake, and 2.5" UICP with 3"blow through GM MAF and translator. should i boost 15? 16? 17?..., and would i be able to tune well with stock injectors?

What do you mean by how "good" would your car run? It will run fine.

You'll need an AFPR with the 255 pump though.

You need a logger to tune.

On stock injectors with a 14b, I would not suggest running much more than 15 or 16 psi.

I run 11psi with almost that same setup just so i dont heat soak...anything more and its useless

Ouch, heatsoaking soon even after 11 psi?

Im pushing 9-10 psi on m 16g, and it seems to be heatsoaking after harder running too. meh.

yeah it sucks..my 91 SM corroded so i had to swap my 90 ic in and a lot of the fins are bent over...i tried to straighten them out but it didnt work...im pretty sure thats why its getting hot
