Ok heres the deal im kinda a newbie on this site and i use to have a 93 awd talon that crankwalked on me and i sold it. Since then the parents have helped me purchase a 1996 240sx SE which if you dont know has a pretty high resale of about $4500.

The question is should i convince my mom to let me sale the 96' 240 and buy an older 93' 240 for the "DD reliability" for about $2400 and then pick me up a decent little stock fwd turbo talon (Has to be 6 bolt!!!) for around $2000?

She completely hated the talon so i cant just trade my 240 straight up for a talon.

I would def do a little modding to the talon if i got it. The reason it has to be fwd and 6 bolt is because i have had so much bad luck with the clutch and tranny of the awd,... and i def dont wont crankwalk again.

some pics for fun

Keep it dude, Then do the S14 front conversion. My Favvv.

Just save up about $1500 and you can get your self a 90 or 91 eclipse GST all stock.

Just keep your 240sx, looks clean and you can use that for a DD and save up for a talon

^ What he said.

That IS an S14. He owns a Zenki and you posted a picture of a Kouki.

To the OP, clean car. I don't care for the spray-job black wheels or the tacky "balls" hanging from the rear bumper, but to each his own.

I just thought id say... just because its a 93 doesnt mean it doesnt have a 6 bolt in it.... check the oil pan to see if its a 6 bolt or 7 bolt. under the crank pulley the 6 bolt oil pan sticks outward.... 7 bolt is indented ;-) i have verified this myself with my 93 gsx that was built NOV 92 ;-)

I also agree with keeping your current 240. It would be my personal preference to have one newer, cleaner car than two older, possibly not as clean cars.

That weird I saw your pictures and was thinking looks like the texas sky, before i looked where you were from. As for the car i would keep the 240 as your dd, once mine is paid off i may look into buying another car incase. But i don't expect to have anymore problems with mine.

Take it from another 240 owner. Keep 240 or you can sell it and buy an older 240 with an SR20 that will def make you happy.

I saw just about the same as everyone else. Just save your 240 for your DD and then just save money for a good cheap GST or GSX. Why sell a 240 when your going to be getting another 240? that just doesnt make sense to me. You have a nice clean 240.....keep it that way, dont drift into any poles or anything LOL jk

The oil pan on the 6 bolt motor in my Laser is indented and I know its a 6 bolt cause ive had it apart. The only way to really tell is to actually look at the crank where it connects to the flywheel, and they stopped putting 6 bolt motors in the Talon, Eclipse, and Laser April of 92. Just my 2 cents.

I owned 2 240s and loved them a 95 in the same color youve got, and a 93 Hicas edition which I got with only 67k on it. Sadly I had bad luck with them, TOTALED both of them. But I would def. keep it. Its nice and clean.

wow plenty of replies.. well im 16 so i cant get a decent job for shit, or else that would be the case, i would just want to keep it and save up for the talon. I just found a 93' 240 with 75000 original miles for $2500 i think.. But haha im pretty sure im just going to keep the s14. Its just so hard to find those things around here(there is 2 separate guys that collect them and each have like 20 of these things).
I just miss the talon so much, this 240 is so much slower. I guess im just going to start doing some minor mods to the 240.
Thanks guys, this forum has always been the best..
