every one has different taste so what ever. i dont care not my car

EXACTLY! everyone likes something different, thats why its called "customizing" cars...customizing it to YOUR tastes, not someone elses...oh well...to each their own...

1970 was last year there was any decent compression ratio for a chevrolet or damn near any GM product in the early 70's.
Thats why he mentioned the 1970 IMHO.
besides I think they stoped the LS-6 in 1970, It was all a bunch of 402's and LS-5's everywhere.

but thats besides the piont :thumb:

My friend's g/f is in that. She has a 2k Si, and i'd give my car up for that car any day of the week. I think it's great what they are doing, and I don't see them out bashing other car groups. If I could find a car club like that for me, then i'd do it, but us men are to stubborn to open our minds to anything else than what we believe is right.

YEah MANLYMANRACING...Bwahahaha

i think this whole entire rice bashing thing is just getting old. let them do what they want to there own cars. no one tells us what to do or what not to do to our own rides

to each is there own.

Doesn't seem to be enough gratuitous in this thread.. Where are khartley pictures?? Heh.. J/K.. Well, not really ;)

Kind of off the subject of the thread......don't flame me LOL.....but while were on the LS6....

True, but my '70 Cuda I do believe, had the the GM's covered that year, since, they did not install SMOG equipment, till I think, 72? Used to read all about "How to build a Chevy, 10.5 - 1 compression ratio, etc.". Bought a Cuda, read the specs, shisit it was already done, by the factory!! I never got beat by a basically stock Camaro, or Firebird, etc.

I do like the DSM's, but $ per $, you can build more horspower in a musclecar!! (especially if your starting with 275, at the back wheels!!) ;)

But, I really like my DSM, it just about as fast as the Cuda, and gets great gas milage, plus, has AC!! :thumb:

BTW, I saw a decent Old's Cutless on that site, and a few cars with engine mods, so not all or cosmetic! :D

This is alittle off topic. KHartly I was looking at your car profile ,and was wondering how you are controlling fuel and boost? (just curious)

Maybe your not referring to me……

But if you are, boost is easy to control, I have none!! No Turbo!

Fuel and all that is just stock ECU.

If I stepped in where I shouldn’t have, I apologize! OMG

Heh no I was referring to Khartly's car. She is the one who started this thread. ;)

Well to get back to the first topic, I like Girlie Gril Racing. It's a club that has been around for a while now. Maybe it's something small but it's gets a few girls interested in cars. You have to start somewhere. I wasn't interested in performance at all when I got my car. I just knew the Tsi was faster than the Esi for some reason, LOL! :D I didn't have a dad fixing cars in my garage or building me a race car....so I had to pursue it on my own. Maybe my mods are cosmetic, but every one was picked out, bought and for the most part installed by ME !! :thumb:

I consider myself a Girlie Girl.....I just get my hands dirty sometimes. :p

I believe she bought the car that way, with those mods and shes working on getting it doen right....but i might be wrong

I think it's cool for any girl to get into the hobby of cars. Even if it takes them joining a club like Girlygirlracing. It's about girls having fun with a hobby, and it doesnt have to be something that every turbo guy agrees with. There's much more to being a car enthusiast then having a fast car. I give props to all the 130 HP cars that are winning car shows (like the car in the pic).

What would you say if they said "dsmtuners...... barf, gag, ahhh... A bunch of 12 year old lasers and talon that are completely stock that do nothing but go fast and break down."

It's all about preference...... I like my DSM for what it is and they like their Civic, Neons, Camrys, and Cavys for what they are.

Just my 2 cents... -Paul-

In a thread I was checking out earlier, there was a link to the girlie girl racing site. I went there and was checking out the gallery and the mods....disgusting!!! So I thought I'd just start a new thread to rave on about it.

First of all, basically every girl has a Civic, Corolla, Cavalier, or Neon. I'd almost guarantee that most of these cars were bought by the girls parents, if the car even belongs to them in the first place.

Secondly, they are all show. Almost all mods have to do with looks somehow. For example:

From a 2003 Civic....Blue Reverse Lights, Blue Dome Lights, Blue License Plate Lights,

From a 2000 Eclipse GT....Custom Blue Diamond Plate Floor Mats, Neons In Footwells, All Interior Lights Swapped for Blue LED's

From a 2002 Accord...Indiglo Gauges, 2 15" Blue Neon Tubes Under Dash Board, 2 9" Blue Neon Tubes In Trunk

And best of all, they have pictures like this!!!!! Disgusting

I personally don't think this thread should be locked.
I went to girlygirl racing and was horribly dissapointed as well.
Their web site is mainly empty. Information horribly lacking.
So you have pictures of these cars... and in some cases not very good pictures.
I think pink cars are cool :) I like the CONCEPT of girlygirl, but I dislike how they have done it. Modding up your car for looks is fine....
But it's weird that you'd pay THAT much for a newer car. I mean in comparison, my talon was only $4500 (Pictures will be coming shortly). Sure there is a little rust on the trunk, but it's in relatively good condition. For the amount THEY paid for their cars, mine would be modded up to the high heavens!
I own a Honda Civic 2001. You don't see me modding that up. Why? Because they are sooo common... and not that good looking anyway. Why bother? If I did it up, it'd be to be "cute". I'd make a joke of it, emphasis on the cute. I can't bear to do that with my talon cause it's so beautiful in it's sleekness that I can't bear to "cute" it up.
Girlygirl will have it's following, but I think someone should make a more aggressive web page... a more devilish one. My main complaint to that site was it was selling merchandise, but it lacked information!
This site at least has tons of info.

What DevilSperm said, minus the fuel pump.

My ECU is modified, and I'm making my own boost controller. About the fuel control, check my wishlist.

Hopefully that answers your question girlieracr.
