When I put my a pillar back on after mounting the guage pod to it, I broke/lost the clips that held the pillar in place. So i'm trying to figure out a way to get it to stay put...any experiences with this? whatd you guys use?

New clips? ROFL

They seemed to be a certain type of clip which I haven't been able to find new ones for...

I used some industrial strength velcro at first. Held pretty good through the fall/winter... but as soon as it started getting warmer in the spring the sticky side of the velcro started to give out... so i'm going to go to the store sometime soon and screw it on also.

Im buying a full replacement a pillar pod thing now instead of the lay-over peice of junk

I'm actually referring to the clips on the car that hold the pillar in place, not the clips that hold the guage pod to the pillar. Is the 3 pillar pod the only one you can get as a full replacement to the layover design?

My pillar kept falling down with my 3 gauge pod. So I did what a lot of people prolly did, screw it in. Just a small black screw at the top into the metal frame underneath.

you realize that even the pods that cover the entire pillar are still supposed to go OVER the stock pillar.

Go to NAPA or someplace similar, they should carry an assortment of clips. If not, you could always check the dealer. I lost one when I put mine on, but it's still holding pretty good. Going to replace it this summer when I put my other guage in.
