I just installed a new BOV yesterday and when i was getting onto the highway (hard accelerating) the car stopped accelerating and wouldn't rev passed 3k. Then died down on the side of the road, when i start the car it will fire and start up but smells of gas. If i give it gas upon start up it will rev to about 2.5k and just backfire a lot. Once i stop giving it gas it just dies down. idk if the new bov has anything to do with it but i need some help on where to start. Thanks

I'm a tad but confused, you say you smell gas but you have to give it gas upon start or it will die? I would run a BLT to make sure your not leaking.

Are you still using your SAFC? If you are, someone may have messed with your settings, I don't understand why just changing a BOV can just randomly cause you to run pig rich.

edit: you will run richer since your venting the air out into the atmosphere.
