I just got a 95 Talon Tsi with a spun bearing with quite a few parts on it but with a spun bearing. He said that he was only 700 miles into his build when he spun the bearing and it seems like he was telling the truth because there was no ridge in the cylinder at all and everything else seems to be checking out so I don't know why he would lie about that and nothing else. I guess I'll start by listing all of the parts that were in/on the car when I bought it.

wiesco 9:1 forged pistons
eagle H beam forged rods
topline bearings(bad idea)
the crank was turned(also bad idea)
