getting new motor

im getting a new motor put in..but should i have a 6 bolt or 7 bolt put in...the 6 bolt will end up bein about 2000 dollars(everything i need to get it to work in my car) and the 7 bolt will be about 1400. which should i do? i will have my current setup on there...16g, cams, injectors, just the new motor. btw the reason for the new motor is mine blew up last night.

my honest opinion is to go with the 6bolt, im sure everyone else will say the same.

Couple questions to ask yourself:

Would you rather have $600 or a good peice of mind?

How much horsepower do you want?


If your answer is $600 and not a lot of horsepower, have em install the 7 bolt.

yea i cant decide either.. should i get a 6 botl or a 7bolt.. i can get a 7bolt installed for 1200 but 6 bolt is few more $$$..

6bolt man all the way mines going in this month, but im doing it myself.

The way I see it, if you want a 6 bolt, do it. If you want a 7 bolt, do it! If you can't decide, get a 4G64 conversion!! Woohoo!

Seriously though, the 6 bolt is a wise investment if you'll keep it a long time (or forever). A 7 bolt is fine if you have no intention of keeping it for more than a year or so.
