Looking to switch out the defective vss. I'm pretty sure it's on the top of the transmission, most likely on the rear, under the battery box, closer to the firewall. Find out tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Installed a Exedy clutch pro kit, pressure plate, throw out bearing, clutch disk, slave and master cylinder. Still working on the vss issue, not that I care how fast I go, ROFL. But seriously, it would be nice to know. In any case she's running like a champ and the shifts are smooth. I finally got to test out the short throw shifter. Next up: replace plugs and wires, and fix the sunroof-for some reason it won't open/close. Which sucks because it's stuck in the vent position. Pretty sure it's out of alignment, we'll see.

Took off all the exterior green vinyl bs that the previous owner put on, I guess they were supposed to be flames. I started removing that bs before the winter, I think the vehicle looks much better without that shit on it.

Well, the hits keeps coming with this car. Minor repair this time around, we'll at least it doesn't affect the drivability of the vehicle. It appears that the sunroof motor, and some of the track components need to replaced. I'm not sure about the motor, but the fuses are intact, so I don't think that's the issue. There were broken pieces of plastic inside the track so I'm pretty sure that's the issue. I went ahead and removed the tracks, sliders, etc. Which means that the sunroof glass it literally just filling the space. I'll duct tape the shit out of it until I find new components, and the motor. Might as well replace that while I'm working on the sunroof. We all know what would happen if I didn't replace it at the same time.

I've been busy doing alot of cosmetic work. In the last week I've replaced the door vapor shields, both interior door panels, both left and right inside mirror trim, both exterior door handles, along with both power lock sensors. I've also replaced the exterior window trim/weatherstripping at the top of the doors. Lastly, I put the replacement trunk decals on, which had long since been removed well before I owned her. There's still a few things I need to get to complete the interior restoration:
1. Reupholster the sun visors.
2. Order a gray sunroof rubber liner.
3. Replace the Driver's side seat belt.
4. Replace the interior carpet.
5. Order new bucket seats.
6. Replace the left kick panel.
7. Replace the right side console plastic.
Other than that the inside is light years ahead of when I found her 10 months ago.

Upgraded the headlights today. I had to repair the wiring and attach a male connector to the wiring harness and mate up with the female headlight connector. I still have to repair and attach a light socket for the left turn signal to operate. For some reason one of the previous owners cut off the factory sockets for both the turn signal and the headlight on the left side. I'll get the turn signal working within the next few days, and the headlight upgrade will be complete.
The headlights are for a 1997-1999 Eclipse so I'll be changing the front and rear bumper covers from the 1995-1996 style shortly. The '97 swap was a recent decision, but I think it looks much better already.

Installed new headlights for the '95 GST, went with the '97-'99 headlights, going to switch out both front and rear bumper covers to match. '97 swap has begun. I have to replace the left turn signal socket since one of the previous moronic owners decided it would be a good idea to cut it off. It wasn't...

New aftermarket tail lights, and side marker lights, installed shortly before the visit to the most incompetent mechanic shop I've ever had the misfortune of doing business with. They used to be a good business, now they're a bunch of morons who I wouldn't let pick up after my dog does his business outside. She'll be on the road again soon.

I decided to replace the motor and get her moving again, thanks to amazing support from DSMer Michael Such. The engine is in, time to connect the wiring harness, reinstall the steering knuckle, cv axles, hubs, ac compressor, etc. Basically connect all removed connections, tighten bolts, drain and refill gear oil, engine oil, coolant, etc. I'm learning alot and enjoying the experience.

Replaced the stock fuel pump with a Walbro 255lph to go with the big 16 turbo, just waiting on the jpipe for the turbo/smic connection to be delivered. Going to upgrade the injectors to 650/660 and get a AFPR. The used/new engine is in, just replacing the master slave cylinder and the hydraulic line. The next thing is to find this coolant leak. I think it's coming from the filter dryer. Anyway, the long story short: I'm just double checking all wiring harness connections and fixing a few things before I start it up for the first time in about 7 months.

Coolant leak is fixed, it was coming from the turbo coolant banjo bolt. Now to fix the turbo oil leak on the oil supply line. It just needs new copper crush washers.
Another mystery is why does the vehicle want to stall out unless I give it a little gas upon 1st start up of the day? Once it's warmed up for about 10 seconds or so it stays running. I assume that the tps is bad, there's a vacuum leak in the throttle body, or maybe the throttle cable isn't installed correctly. Another possibility is that the iac module isn't functioning properly.

I also need to figure out where the alternator wiring harness is loose or disconnected somewhere. The battery needs to be jumped every morning if I leave it connected. Pain in the ass but, I'll figure it out.
