Gauge pod question

Hey, I tried searching for info on the gauge pod that goes around the instrument cluster for 2gs, but I couldn't find what I'm looking for. I was wondering if anyone who has it could tell me what depth of gauges will fit?

I've got an electric oil pressure gauge and its pretty long. I held it up to my stock gauge cluster with the bezel off and it looks like it will stick out alot. Share your experience.

The depth issue can be dicey. I had to re-design the bulb and vacuum port setups on a VDO boost gauge, or carve up the stock gauge cover. There's quite a taper to the bottom third. I've also seen some leave the gauges sticking out some. I'd show a pic, but I've not gotten around to putting it in yet, as I've been awfully busy being lazy.

yea the depth is a little tight, i believe the autometer phantoms will fit if you cut off the studs on the backside (the mounting screw stud thingys). or leave them out a little like defiant suggested.....i might be able to take a pic of the clearance for you this afternoon if you need....
