ok this has been very indirect on every fourm ive looked on will a Garrett T25BB Turbo bolt on exaust manifold for the stock t25.... yes i no go bigger but just to keep my car on the road i need to know if it uses the same exaust manifold i just dont wanna tare it apart and have it not fit im not doing this for more horse power to all of u who are gunna sy its a dumb idea i have the turbo laying around and i want to put it in to keep my car my daily diver and im broke so will a Garrett T25BB Turbo fit in replacement of my t25 w/o any sever modifocation and if any please let me know asap
my stock t25 is whiing meaning its probably blown thats why i want to do this its not smoking yet prrobably because it hasnt eaten threw the oil seals YET

Google pics of the t25 flange then look at your t25bb flange, if they are the same then you have your answer

So I pulled the Air intake off today to check the fins on the stock t25 and they were ok but when I was checking for shaft play it had no side to side movement but when I pulled on it it came out about a quater of an inch so im guessing its no good?

Man... Gt25bb turbo is a complete different turbo than stock t25. Even tho they both end in 25 they are wholly different sized. Will it physically fit? That I do not know. What I do know is that you're setting yourself up for a whole slew of problems. Gt25 is much bigger than stock t25. Flows alot more air. I had been looking at this turbo as an upgrade for autocross. It's a turbo that is efficient up to 24psi depending on if it is a true gt25 or a hybrid like the ones made by pte. You're going to need larger injectors. You're going to need some way of managing the larger injectors. At minimum that would be an EPROM ecu and keydriver chip. That turbo is going to over run the stock maf causing your car to plateau it's fuel curve causing fuel cut and bucking. If you just slap it on your car is going to run like crap. It's an unusual turbo to see on a dsm.

really it doesnt seem that much bigger and my buddy had it on his del sol only pushing 6-7 pounds of boost heres a picture of the turbo looking down tell me what you guys think if it will bolt to the exaust manifold or not

What would i need to go to a 14b turbo? would i be better getting an ebay 16g or to the junkyard to get a 14b? im strapped for cash at the moment so i need the fastest cheapest solution the car will only be on the road for another 4 month till the rebuild

Don't bother trying to find an Ebay 16g if your going to be rebuilding in 4 months. Hell with Ebay its a 50/50 chance. My vote is to get another rebuilt t25 and slap that on there, I'm sure you could get a junkyard one with little or no shaft play for cheap. Or even try to find someone selling one on the site.

Well why would you want to spend more money changing things around when you could find a t25 for now? Think about it, you get a new manifold and downpipe now, even for a decent price, if you want to change later you just wasted your money you know?

My vote is find a used t25. Its small but it will get the job done until you build in 4 months.
