Hoping for some advice:

FWD (2800ish) is spinning quite a bit and Im looking for some ways to get some more traction. I have a Quaife + 24.5 MT drag + ELHS. 1.9 was my best 60' meanwhile spinning till third (12.6@120) with a 2 stage BC. A member here suggested stiffer rear springs and a traction bar.

My current suspension is an aged (~95) KYB/Eibach combo. The car is lowered about 2" I would guess (I had nothing to do with the suspension work).
Ive been looking @ coilovers and they are $$$!
The GC style is cheaper, can I buy them without springs and toss ones with heavier spring rate in?
Is it a viable option to just toss in stiffer springs in the back? The car is allowed to ride stiff.

Thanks for the help guys

I had a 95 tsi that weighed 2590 without me stock suspension and i was pulling 1.73 60ft and wasn't done tuning the launch on 8.5x8x15" M&H slicks and those mickeys are comparable but i do believe the M&H are a little better for us fwd's ! I think its all in the tune and suspension. i feel that 1.6x 60ft shouldn't be a problem when you get it figured out.
